DESCRIPTION:As part of our 70th Anniversary year\, we’re hosting a vibrant Dragon Boat Race. \n\n\n\nDragon boat racing is the fastest-growing water sport in the UK\, known for its colour\, energy and brilliant team spirit. In July 2026\, crews from across the construction industry will race head-to-head\, all while raising awareness and support for our services. \n\n\n\n\n\nDetails:\n\n\n\nDate: \n\n\n\nWednesday 1st July \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nDorney Lake\,Court Lane\, Off Lake End Road\,Dorney\,Windsor\,Berkshire\,SL4 6FJ \n\n\n\nCost: \n\n\n\n£2750 for teams of up to 11 people \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\n\n\nGather up to 11 colleagues and take your place in the boat. No experience is needed. Our qualified helms will guide you through paddle technique\, safety and working in sync\, so everyone can get involved. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our very first Wear Purple Week! \n\n\n\nFrom Monday 15th June to Friday 19th\, we’re inviting everyone to take part in our very first Wear Purple Week and help us raise awareness and funds in support of the construction community. \n\n\n\nGetting involved is simple. Whether you go all out in head-to-toe purple or keep it subtle with a pair of socks or a hat\, every show of support helps create conversation\, raise awareness and bring people together for a great cause. \n\n\n\nNominate one day that week for your organisation to get involved and wear something purple\, or go crazy and wear purple every day! \n\n\n\n\n\nDetails:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDate: \n\n\n\nMonday 15th – Friday 19th June \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow to take part\n\n\n\nTaking part in Wear Purple Weekcouldn’t be easier: \n\n\n\n\nSave the date – Monday 15th – Friday 19th June\n\n\n\nWear purple – T-shirts\, hats\, socks or anything else you like. The bolder\, the better. Either pick a day within your organisation\, or embrace the mayhem and wear purple on all 5 days!\n\n\n\nFundraise – we suggest a donation of £/€1 per person taking part. You could collect donations on the day or set up a JustGiving page so colleagues\, friends and family can donate online and support your efforts\n\n\n\nSnap and share – take photos throughout the day and post them using #WearPurpleWeek\n\n\n\nSpread the word – share internally across your organisation and encourage others to join in too. Use the image below\, add your logo to the circle in the middle to let others know you’re taking part.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRight click and ‘Save As’ to download the above graphic\, add your logo and share proudly on your social media pages\, tagging the Lighthouse Charity and using the hashtag #WearPurpleWeek to share your involvement \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMake it fun\n\n\n\nWear Purple Week is a chance to get your team involved\, have some fun and show your support in a visible way.
