Launched in 2018, the Building Mental Health (BMH) project saw a cross industry volunteer group created with contributions from a huge variety of stakeholders including  clients, contractors, specialist sub-contractors, and training bodies. The objective was to provide an online portal sharing advice, best practice and guidance, along with a  flexible and consistent framework to enable everyone within the construction sector to access mental health support and improve mental health awareness and training.

To help support the Building Mental Health framework, a specific project was funded and delivered by the partners to train 288 Mental Health First Aid Instructors who would subsequently train 3,000 Mental Health First Aiders’ (MHFA) in the construction industry.
