Over 2 million people work in construction in the UK and Ireland, making up a significant percentage of the total workforce.
We would love for every single one of those to be aware of the essential emotional, physical and financial wellbeing services that we offer to each and every one of them.
Since we were founded in 1956, we have been heavily reliant on passionate volunteers.
If you are looking give something back to our wonderful industry, we have separate volunteering opportunities, each with separate roles and responsibilities, but a great sense of fulfillment:
Become an
Individual Volunteer
We are actively expanding the number of volunteer opportunities available with the Lighthouse Charity.
If you feel like you have something to give back to construction, have some time you could spare to support our helpline by answering calls, attend events/exhibitions and tell people about our life-changing services or other ideas for raising awareness and/or donations, please get in touch to become an individual volunteer.
Becoming a volunteer can make a huge difference to how effective we are and can make tangible changes to the lives of those who are struggling.
You will receive full training and, depending on your responsibilities, a volunteer pack with everything you need to represent the Lighthouse Charity.
Become a
Corporate Volunteer
If your organisation provides you with the opportunity to have corporate volunteering days, or if you are looking to boost your organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility, then the Lighthouse Charity is the perfect place to use your Corporate Volunteer Days.
We do not receive any government funding. Receiving corporate donations and having the support of corporate volunteers enables us to reach more people with our message of support. Construction takes place in every corner of the UK and Ireland, and our corporate volunteers help us attend events and open discussions that we would otherwise be unable to.
What do you receive for this?
- Team building – stronger and more connected employees that have made a genuine difference in their industry and their community
- Boost your social impact and CSR initiatives.
Get in touch to see how you can make a difference.
