Publicity & Media Guidelines
Guidelines for your #MakeItVisible Visit
We love it when companies share news about the Lighthouse Charity especially when it’s about our amazing #MakeItVisible team! However, it’s important that the focus of our visit remains on sharing the message of support and giving your teams an opportunity to reach out for help if they need it.
For that reason we kindly ask you to follow these important guidelines relating to any publicity of our visit.
Videography
During the talk: Our team’s lived experiences are unique and they share their stories in a down to earth and hard hitting manner. We therefore ask that no filming or sound recording takes place during our team’s talk.
After the event: Following the talk, there is an informal opportunity for your workforce to approach our team with any issues that they may wish to share. It is incredibly importance that they feel that they have a safe space to do this.
Once this part of the visit is complete, we are more than happy for you to interview our team. Every site is different so please seek the guidance of our on site team to check when and if a filmed interview can take place. Please also inform our tour team at MiVOnsite@lighthousecharity.org so that they can allow for extra time on site to accommodate this if necessary.
Photography
We are happy for you to take photographs at any time and share these as you wish.
Media Coverage
Please feel free to share news of our visit with your local or industry media! Once you’ve prepared your draft release please contact marketing@lighthousecharity.org
We’ll share the latest #MakeItVisible statistics with you and a supporting quote to include in your media release to maximise exposure.
