The Lighthouse that started it all…
We have been delivering charitable support to the construction community since 1956. A group of people who had been attending a Ministry of Public Buildings and Works Exhibition on Tyneside gathered under the beacon of St Mary’s Lighthouse in Whitley Bay.
They vowed to extend the goodwill they enjoyed at the show by starting something to unite and benefit the entire industry, and so the Lighthouse Charity was formed.
