John Sisk and Son have been aware of the ‘great work that the Lighthouse Club do in supporting those in the construction industry who may be struggling’. Along with their annual company donation, they wanted to raise some extra funds as those needs are greater than ever, given the extra challenges that Covid-19 is presenting.
This fundraiser event was also an opportunity to bring some Sisk colleagues together from across Ireland for what was one of the few in-person race events to have taken place in 2021. It also allowed those who participated to set themselves a fitness goal in the run up to Christmas, so the event served the purpose of a fitness challenge and a fundraising event.
In total, over 20 Sisk employees participated in either the 5 mile race or the half marathon race on what was a very cold but bright morning in Clontarf, Dublin. Over €4,500 was raised, which they were delighted with, and look forward with hope in being able to do a similar fundraising event in 2022. Thank you to all the amazing Sisk employees who took part and helped raise money to aid our work.
