With the high incidence of suicide and accidents on site there is a need to provide a fast response unit to work with the individuals who have experienced the incident.

The critical response unit usually engages within 48 Hours and delivers:

• On-site trauma response for fatalities and serious accidents or injuries.
• They work with the on-site representative or HR department contact to co-ordinate response.
• Work with the affected people both on an individual on a group basis.
• Return to complete a secondary review as per NICE guidelines to investigate any secondary trauma.
• Where appropriate, signpost for ongoing support.
