Wear Purple Week
Join us for our very first Wear Purple Week!
From Monday 15th June to Friday 19th, we’re inviting everyone to take part in our very first Wear Purple Week and help us raise awareness and funds in support of the construction community.
Getting involved is simple. Whether you go all out in head-to-toe purple or keep it subtle with a pair of socks or a hat, every show of support helps create conversation, raise awareness and bring people together for a great cause.
Nominate one day that week for your organisation to get involved and wear something purple, or go crazy and wear purple every day!

How to take part
Taking part in Wear Purple Weekcouldn’t be easier:
- Save the date – Monday 15th – Friday 19th June
- Wear purple – T-shirts, hats, socks or anything else you like. The bolder, the better. Either pick a day within your organisation, or embrace the mayhem and wear purple on all 5 days!
- Fundraise – we suggest a donation of £/€1 per person taking part. You could collect donations on the day or set up a JustGiving page so colleagues, friends and family can donate online and support your efforts
- Snap and share – take photos throughout the day and post them using #WearPurpleWeek
- Spread the word – share internally across your organisation and encourage others to join in too. Use the image below, add your logo to the circle in the middle to let others know you’re taking part.
Right click and ‘Save As’ to download the above graphic, add your logo and share proudly on your social media pages, tagging the Lighthouse Charity and using the hashtag #WearPurpleWeek to share your involvement
Make it fun
Wear Purple Week is a chance to get your team involved, have some fun and show your support in a visible way. Whether you’re on site, in the office or working remotely, every purple outfit helps build momentum and create a buzz.
You could take part as an individual, get your whole team involved, or encourage your wider network to join you. However you choose to support, you’ll be helping make our first Wear Purple Week one to remember.

Need something purple to wear?
If you haven’t got anything purple in your wardrobe, don’t worry. Visit the Lighthouse Shop to grab a branded T-shirt or wristband and wear it proudly throughout the day/week.
