The recent HQR Summer Ball has once again been a huge success raising a staggering £35,000 for the Lighthouse Club.
Representatives from the Charity were lucky enough to attend on the night and experienced first hand the top quality entertainment and audience participation.
Kelly Gower, ‘HQR event organiser said, “Following a disappointing two year break due to the pandemic, the HQR Summer Ball finally returned with a bang at the end of June.
The Ball, organised on behalf of the High Quality Residential construction contingent proved to be yet another huge success with guests from main contracting, architecture, engineering, quantity surveying, interior design, services and many specialist trade subcontractors attending. The pre-event fundraising, made up from a portion of each table sale was quickly topped up to a fantastic £85,000 with the help of a silent and live auction, raffle and pre-dinner audience participation game on the night. All of the money raised has been donated to the Lighthouse Club, £35,000, Winston’s Wish. £35,000 and The Graham Hughes International Charity £15,000.
A brilliant time was once again had by those who attended – so much so that we’re pleased to announce The HQR Ball will be returning next summer! Please ensure the 24th June 2023 is in your diary and keep an eye on hqrlondon.co.uk for further details to be announced soon”.
The total raised by HQR for several charities has now reached over half a million pounds: £523,013.40. The total donated by HQR to the Lighthouse Club is now over a quarter of a million : £264,979.70
A massive thank you goes out to everyone that makes these events such a huge success, we are so humbled by your ongoing support and dedication to our mission, that no construction worker or their family should feel alone in a crisis.
