
Our North West Region is looking for someone to support the committee in the role of Secretary.
If you are looking to give back to the construction industry or have some time to spare to support our charity, this is a rewarding and difference-making role.
The Secretary’s responsibilities include:
- Ensure meetings are effectively organised and minuted
- Maintain effective records and administration
- Facilitate communication between Committee members
- Prepare agendas and keepmembers informed
- Welcome new Committee members to meetings
- Support the Chair inrecruiting new members andensuring the smoothfunctioning of the Committee
- Receive agenda items from other Committee members
- Check the quorum is present
- Minute meetings and circulate draft minutes to all Committee members
- Ensure the Chair has finalised minutes for theChairto send on to the CEO of the Charity
- Check Committee members have carried out actions agreed•Circulate minutes of the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
- Ensure upto date records are kept of Committee membership
- Ensure the Committee complies with the requirements of the Charity Commission
- Support the Chair in ensuring arrangements for the meetings are met, such as booking the room, arranging for equipment/refreshments, organising facilities for those with additional needs
The successful person will ideally be based in the North West of England with knowledge of the regional construction landscape.
The committee meets monthly for a half-hour Teams call and face-to-face every 4 months.
