Lighthouse Yorkshire Region Raise Whopping £67,000!

Yorkshire Christmas Lunch

The Yorkshire Region of the Lighthouse Charity hosted their annual Christmas Lunch in November, with the room packed to capacity with both new and familiar faces from the construction community.

The event was hosted in the incomparable Hilton Leeds City Hotel on the 14th November, bringing together industry professionals to raise funds and awareness for our charity.

Guests enjoyed a festive three-course feast as they networked, celebrated, and dug deep for the cause. As is tradition, a lively auction provided entertainment and excitement after the meal.

This year the lots donated were nothing short of spectacular. From Wacker plates to whimsical LEGO sets and cosy cottage escapes, there was something for everyone.  There were unforgettable London dining and theatre adventures, rejuvenating bubble-and-spa days, adrenaline-fuelled driving experiences, shooting days and much more!

As a result of this amazing evening and the many enthusiastic acts of festive generosity, the event raised a show-stopping £67,000 for the Lighthouse Charity.

Kirstie Murray, secretary of the Lighthouse Charity Yorkshire Region, said, “We are deeply grateful that every pound raised goes directly to the charity. Knowing that our efforts help people across our region receive the support they need, exactly when they need it, means more than words can say.”

The Yorkshire Lighthouse committee would like to extend a huge thank you to Watts Auctioneers for keeping excitement high, to the incredible event sponsors NorthEdge Machinery Limited, and to all companies who donated so generously. It wouldn’t be possible without you.
