The Yorkshire Region of the Lighthouse Charity celebrated Lighthouse’s 70th anniversary at their annual Spring Ball in March, a fantastic evening aptly concluded with the proud presentation of a six-figure cheque.
The event was hosted at the Hilton Leeds City Hotel on the 27th March, bringing together industry professionals to raise funds and celebrate 70 years of the Lighthouse Charity.
Guests enjoyed a spectacular three course feast as they networked, celebrated, and dug deep for the cause. The evening was a huge success, full of high spirits, surprises and a famously lively auction.
The night’s entertainment went down a storm, with the Undercover Waiters surprising the crowd and bursting into song. The dance floor was full, and stayed that way throughout DJ Chris’ subsequent set.
As a result of this amazing evening and the many enthusiastic acts of generosity, the event raised an incredible £28,500. Coupled with the funds raised at their Christmas party, the Yorkshire region handed over a show stopping £100,000 cheque to Lighthouse representatives Thomas McConkey and Rory Doyle.
