Every year, McLaren colleagues come together to celebrate Christmas at our annual company Christmas party. As a consequence of COVID-19, there were no social gatherings in 2020, making their 2021 event even more special.
On the 9th of December 2021, colleagues were invited to a ‘winter wonderland’ themed party at the Vaults at Old Billingsgate. A Christmas raffle was arranged beforehand in partnership with our subcontractors to raise money for our corporate charity – Lighthouse Club.
Mental health is a serious issue that must be recognised and addressed in the industry, and Lighthouse Club focuses on providing financial and emotional support to the construction community, reason why McLaren chose Lighthouse Club as our company charity.
Over 2,760 tickets were sold online, raising over £6,000 for the Lighthouse Club. Over 400 people attended and the 15 lucky raffle winners were announced on the night. Prizes included cash, tech devices, holidays, weekend getaways and much more.
Colleagues were thrilled to be part of such an exciting raffle prize while raising money for such a great cause.
We are incredibly thankful for McLaren’s efforts and beyond thrilled at such a generous donation. Well done and thank you to everyone involved and in attendance!
