A Wonderful Western Summer Ball

For those who attended our Lighthouse Club Western Summer Ball on 13th May, it was a fantastic night filled with exciting entertainment and a wealth of fun in the name of charity. Taking place at the stunning Cadbury House in Congresbury, the event was compered by “once met, never forgotten” Jerome Timbrell.

The evening began with an introduction from Western Club’s Regional Ambassador, Lorraine Shepherd, and a rambunctious round of Heads and Tails. This was followed by a delicious three course meal and table magic by the incredible Paul Brooks, who didn’t even need a deck of cards to wow our guests: he knew what card they pictured in their minds!

The raffle and kitchen auction raised a fantastic £1698 and on top of this, MJ Church generously donated a further £4550, bringing the fundraising total to £6248. These funds will go directly towards providing vital wellbeing support services to construction workers and their families in need. The raffle even gave one extremely lucky individual the chance to go home with a cardboard cut-out of aforementioned Jerome Timbrell himself!

As is befitting of any Lighthouse Club Western event,  the night ended with some impressive moves on the dancefloor, thanks to Cadence Entertainment providing the music.

We want to say a huge thanks to Alan Waterson for all the hard work he always puts in to make these events what they are and extend a thank you to everyone that attended. It wouldn’t have been the same without you all there!

We’re delighted to announce that next year’s Western Club Summer Ball with take place on 18th May 2024 and we sincerely hope you’ll join us!
