This June, Wilson James Construction hosted the Annual Construction Industry Motor Racing Challenge, raising a phenomenal £44,000 for the Lighthouse Charity.
The heavy rain didn’t damper the fundraising or enjoyment as 60 guests took turns to race around the PalmerSport track.

Following the race, there was an award ceremony, an auction filled with fantastic prizes, a 3-course meal and an overnight stay, creating unforgettable memories for everyone who took part.
Following the success of this year’s event, plans are already underway to expand the guest list to 70 attendees next year, helping to raise even more funds and awareness for the charity’s important work.
Having supported Lighthouse Charity for many years, Wilson James is proud to champion the organisation’s vital work providing emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.
“The Lighthouse Charity continues to provide essential support to individuals and families across our industry, and we are incredibly proud to have supported their work for many years,” added Tony Palombo, Managing Director, Wilson James. “Our annual motor racing event has become a highlight of our calendar, bringing together clients, partners, and friends for a fantastic day while raising money for a cause that is close to our hearts. Raising £44,000 this year is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the generosity of everyone involved. We are already looking forward to welcoming even more guests next year and continuing to support the invaluable work of the Lighthouse Charity.”
