It was a record breaking Christmas lunch for our Central Club with over 200 guests attending on the day and sold out signs being posted as early as October. The full house was due in no small measure to widespread and effective marketing by committee member Adam Farley.
Comedian Aaron James hosted the event at Drayton Park Golf Club near Abingdon on 1st December.
Aaron, following his very funny talk, hosted an auction of items donated by local construction businesses and special thanks needs to go to Pye Homes, Mace and Earthline among others, for their generosity. A big thank you also goes out to Mrs Mary McKenna for all her help in providing the venue and Steve Greenwood of Drayton Park for the excellent catering and bar at the Lunch.
