Edgewater Contracts’ Strand Palace team have their cake and eat it!

The Strand Palace Project Team at Edgewater Contracts’ signed up to receive their construction industry helpline pack and were keen to spread the word about the helpline provided by the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity.

The team has ensured that all personnel have been made aware of the Construction Industry Helpline by discussing the services available during a pre-start induction briefing. Each person is given a helpline card and the briefing includes an explanation of the benefits it can provide for themselves and their families.

To further support the charity the team also held a Lighthouse Day Coffee Morning in 1st March 2018 to raise much needed funds. The coffee morning was very well supported and everyone was incredibly generous with their donations raising £150. (That’s a lot of cake eating!).

Jim MacQueen, Project manager at Edgewater’s Strand site said, “Here at Edgewater we work with an open door policy for all our personnel and sub-contractors. But there are always some issues that  people would feel more comfortable not to discuss in house. The helpline gives them another confidential avenue to pursue any issues they may have. We’re delighted to have helped the Lighthouse Club Charity continue their vital work and proud to support our construction colleagues in need.”

We’d like to thank everyone at Edgewater Contracts Strand team for their generosity and enduring all that cake!
