Contractors, suppliers and business partners from across the region recently joined Persimmon Homes South East at Tudor Park Golf Club in Maidstone for the company’s annual Charity Golf Day, raising an impressive £9,500 for Lighthouse.
The event brought together teams made up of Persimmon employees and supply chain partners for a day of friendly competition, networking and fundraising. With strong support from businesses across the South East, the day highlighted the construction industry’s ongoing commitment to looking after its people and supporting the vital work of Lighthouse.
Timber Erections Ltd claimed the top spot on the leaderboard, capping off a successful day on the course. Alongside the golfing action, the event helped shine a light on the support available to the construction community, whilst generating vital funds to continue that vital support.
As a business operating within the construction sector, Persimmon Homes South East recognises the important role Lighthouse plays in supporting the emotional, physical and financial wellbeing of the industry workforce. The event provided an opportunity to raise both funds and awareness while encouraging conversations around wellbeing and the importance of supporting colleagues throughout the industry.
Gav Nicholson, Contracts Manager at Persimmon Homes South East, said, “We are absolutely delighted to have raised £9,500 for Lighthouse. The support we received from our contractors was fantastic and really demonstrated the generosity that exists across our industry. Lighthouse provides invaluable support to construction workers and their families, and we’re proud to be helping raise funds for such an important cause. Organising an event like this is very much a team effort and I’d like to thank everyone who attended, sponsored activities, donated prizes and contributed to making the day such a success.”
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, sponsored the event and helped make the day possible.
