On a lovely spring afternoon the sun was out for many early guests to get into the spirit of things, in more ways than one! We could say, let the celebrations Be Gin! After catching up with the day’s events elsewhere (the royal wedding and the FA Cup) it was on to our own special celebrations.
Guests regathered in the early evening for a black tie dinner attended by nearly 100 people. After a delicious three course meal, that was ‘Gurt Lush’, the casino opened up and ‘Lighthouse Money’ was available to purchase to help raise further funds. In most cases, like a lighthouse it was gone in a flash. A very successful raffle was held with prizes that included a washing machine from Howdens and an evening meal at Marco Pierre White’s restaurant within the hotel. This year’s live entertainment was Jordan Hall, who was sponsored by MJ Church, who was probably the best we have ever had.
Thanks to Alan, Robbie and their team for managing another entertaining, enjoyable and successful evening that raised over £1000, including a donation from John Marchant Electrical. May this event continue to be a great start to Summer.
